Dr. Andrew ColemanBiography

Dr. Andrew Coleman is an assistant professor of biology at Talladega College. Dr. Coleman spends a great deal of time with turtles and his extensive research on these fascinating reptiles is now featured in print and film.

"Urban Turtle Project: Using Citizen Science to Document Freshwater Turtle Communities and Populations in Birmingham, Alabama, with Focus on Alabama Map Turtles (Graptemys pulchra)," an article by Dr. Coleman, was published in the December 2020 issue of Chelonian Conservation and Biology.

Dr. Coleman's research was also featured in Southern Exposure Film Fellowship's film on the turtles of Alabama, From the Mountains to the Ocean: Turtles of Alabama.
