March 23, 2023

Reestablishing clinical contact with patients who are returning to HIV care has benefits including improved viral load suppression and subsequent decrease in HIV-related morbidity and mortality as well as HIV transmission. Addressing the need might also serve to prevent the continuing success of HIV treatment and could hinder the achievement of the 90–90-90 objectives. This webinar will focus on return and retention strategies including optimizing services and addressing gaps in re-engagement. Culturally appropriate clinical services aimed at designing optimum strategies to improve re-engagement in care, improve clinical outcomes, especially in resource constrained settings will also be addressed.
