Biography
Ruth Ramos Gonzalez, MBBS
Dr. Ramos Gonzalez is a Cuban by birth and has been living in Guyana since 1985. She graduated from the University of Guyana in 2000. From 2010 to 2018 she was the acting director of the National Care and Treatment Center (NCTC), the largest treatment site in Guyana. She has worked for the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation -GPHC, Guyana’s largest hospital.
Nationally she has worked with various working groups for the development and review of guidelines and other technical activities for the National Aids Program and Ministry of Health. She is also actively involved in the training and mentorship of medical students, interns, medical officers and residents.
