Biography
Vladimir Berthaud, MD, MPH, FACP. Dr Berthaud is a professor of Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee. He is the founding Executive Director of the Meharry Community Wellness Center, a Tennessee-designated AIDS Center of Excellence. He serves on the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the Tennessee AIDS Center of Excellence Committee.
He is board certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases, public health, and tropical medicine and travelers’ health. He is also the Associate Director of the Clinical Discovery Core of the Tennessee Center for AIDS Research since 2014. This is a joint venture among Meharry, Vanderbilt and Tennessee Departments of Health. As of July 2017, he is the Clinical Director of PEPFAR/HBCU Consortium Project in Africa focusing on AIDS.
Dr. Berthaud holds certification in internal medicine, infectious diseases, public health, and tropical medicine and travelers’ health. He received his medical degree from the University of Haiti.
