Maryland ranked 7th among the 50 states in the number of HIV diagnoses in 2013. Maryland is slowly rising close to 7% each year in diagnoses. Baltimore being one of the highest rated cities in America brings the majority of these statistics to Maryland.

• Maryland AIDS Drug Assistance Program (MADAP) ensures that people living with HIV/AIDS in Maryland have access to the medication they need to stay healthy. MADAP is a statewide program and is funded primarily through the Ryan White Act. MADAP pays for medications for eligible clients with no insurance and helps clients with insurance by paying for eligible co-pay and deductible costs so they can get their medication.
• HIV/AIDS Counseling and Testing in Maryland, produced by the Center for a Healthy Maryland, contains information on HIV/AIDS counseling and testing and reporting laws.
• Behavioral Health Services of Baltimore. Provides resources for individuals and families and agencies interested in behavioral health.
• AIDS Action Baltimore (AAB). A community organization providing patient services, including financial assistance, research, treatment access advocacy and HIV prevention services, for all people with HIV and infection in the Baltimore metropolitan area. AAB programs are designed to empower people with HIV infection to advocate and care for themselves.
